Portal sign-in and password reset

Updated Oct 11, 2026

This one is for clients signing in to a portal, and for the team helping them.

Signing in

Use the portal address your supplier gave you, with the email address they invited. Portal sign-in is separate from an Atwork workspace account — different address, different account.

Forgotten password

Use the reset link on the portal sign-in page. A link is sent to your email; follow it and set a new password.

If nothing arrives, check spam first, then confirm you are using the same address the invitation went to.

For the team: when a client cannot get in

Work down this list — the first one is right most of the time:

  1. Are they using the portal address, not the main app? Trying to sign in to the workspace fails, because their account does not exist there. This is the most common cause by a distance.
  2. Did they ever accept the invitation? No acceptance means no account, and nothing to reset.
  3. Is it the right email? An invite sent to a colleague's address cannot be used by them.
  4. Is their access still active? A removed portal user cannot sign in.

Make it easy on yourself

When you invite a client, send the portal link in your own words too — what it is for, and what they will find there. Most "I can't sign in" messages are really "I don't know where to go".
