Create a sheet
Updated Oct 17, 2026
A sheet is a table of records: clients, projects, tasks, anything you would keep in a spreadsheet. You create it inside a space, and the members of that space can see it.
Steps
- Open the space the sheet belongs in.
- In the sidebar, click Create under the space name. You can also click ⋮ next to the space name and choose Create.
- Under Sheets, pick the kind you need:
- New Worksheet: a table of rows with typed columns, for anything you would keep in a spreadsheet.
- New Tasksheet: a worksheet for work, with Status, Assignee, Due date and a board.
- New Content collection: a worksheet for publishing, with draft states, tags and a body page for each row.
- Type a Name. Prefix and Item noun are optional: the prefix appears before each item number, and the item noun is what buttons call one row, for example New client instead of New item.
- Click Create. The sheet opens in a table view, ready for its first record.
How do I create a sheet inside a folder?
Click ⋮ on the folder in the sidebar and choose New worksheet. The sheet is created straight away as "New Worksheet". To rename it, click ⋮ on the sheet and choose Rename.
Can I start from a template instead?
Yes. In the same Create dialog, click Templates to install a ready-made setup with its fields and views already in place. See Install a template.
Notes
- What a new worksheet contains: a Title column, a Tags column and a few built-in columns such as Created by. Add the fields your work needs with + at the right end of the column headers.
- No Status column on a worksheet. If you want a board of stages, create a New Tasksheet, or add a Status field to the worksheet.
- Who can create a sheet: you need Editor access or higher on the space or folder. People with Viewer or Operator access can't create sheets; ask a space admin to change your access.
- Plan limit: if you see "It is not possible to add a new sheet. Please upgrade your plan.", the space has reached your plan's sheet limit. Compare plans to see what an upgrade adds.
- Pick the space with care: who can see a sheet follows the space it is in. Moving it later changes who can see it.
