Dana, Atwork's AI assistant, writes in the page editor. Ask it for new text where your cursor is, or select text and have it rewritten in place.
Dana writes into a new block below the cursor. Esc closes the box without asking.
To draft a whole page, do the same on an empty page: "A kickoff agenda for the Kestrel Foods rebrand: goals, scope, timeline, who does what, open questions."
Select text and click Ask Dana in the formatting toolbar, then pick an action:
Or type your own instruction into Custom prompt…, such as "make this friendlier for the client" or "turn this into three bullet points".
Dana writes the new text straight into the page, over the text you selected. Press Esc while it is writing to stop and keep your original text.
Dana reads the page around your cursor, up to about 8,000 characters, so it can match what is already there. When the page belongs to a record, such as a task's description, it also reads that record's fields. It sees only what you can see.
In the editor, Dana only writes text. It does not change records, create tasks or look things up elsewhere in your workspace. Ask in the Dana sidebar for that. See Meet Dana, your AI assistant.
The Ask Dana button also appears in the toolbar when you write a comment or an Inbox message.
No. Requests from the editor do not appear in your conversations with Dana.
Yes. Every request draws on your workspace's monthly AI budget. If Dana writes nothing and your text goes back to how it was, the budget may have run out: ask a workspace owner to check it. See The AI budget.
