Reschedule or cancel a booking

Updated Oct 11, 2026

Plans change. Either side can move or cancel a booking without negotiating over email.

The invitee

Their confirmation contains a manage link. Opening it lets them:

  • Reschedule — pick another slot from your current availability, which is recalculated at that moment, not when they first booked.
  • Cancel — releasing the time.

They do not need an account, and they do not need to contact you.

You

Open the booking from your calendar and reschedule or cancel from there. The invitee is notified either way, so nobody is left holding a stale invitation.

What happens to the slot

Cancelling frees the time immediately — it becomes bookable again for anyone else with your link. Rescheduling frees the old slot and takes the new one.

Keep the manage link

Ask invitees to keep the confirmation email. It is the fastest route back to the booking, and it saves the "can we move Tuesday?" exchange entirely.

Notes

  • Rescheduling offers current availability, so a slot that existed last week may not exist now.
  • If you cancel a call the invitee travelled for, send a note too. A cancellation notice is correct but cold.
